Our Instructors
Aspect's instructors are professional software developers who have dedicated their career to application security. Our instructors spend the majority of their time working with clients to secure critical web applications using a wide variety of web application technology. This practical experience allows our instructors to have interesting discussions about real-world problems that drive home the lessons being taught.
In order to become an instructor at Aspect, first you must demonstrate mastery of the technical material. This starts with a strong background in software development in college, advanced degrees, and significant work experience. Then our instructors take our classes, go through an intensive bootcamp, perform penetration testing and code reviews, and learn our approach to application security. Most of our instructors lead research projects in innovative areas of application security.
Once the technical material has been mastered, instructors focus on becoming great educators. We give them extensive support and guidance in developing their individual teaching style, and encourage them to speak at technical chapter meetings and application security conferences as much as possible. Each instructor brings their own personal experience to the teaching of our classes.
We collect feedback and scores from all the students of each class. We monitor this feedback carefully and are constantly working to improve every aspect of our training.
